I, like most carpet cleaners out there charge by number of rooms. Prices start at $90 +GST which is the minimum charge for a room and then go up $20 per room from there.
We have to charge a minimum because has the work is in preparing, travelling, setting up equipment, and then packing up. As well as the maintenance and book work once we get home.

Short answer is that I bought my original equipment from a gentleman in St Helens. He had that same sign writing that I still use today sprayed all over the canopy. smaller jobs are completed within an hour usually. larger domestic jobs are done within 2 hours. Commercial jobs can tale anywhere from 1 hour to 1 week! Just depends on the size scope and requirements of the job.
Yes this happens… When it comes to the big carpet companies I am likely a bit cheaper than them because I’m not employing anyone currently, but we basically do the same thing.
If you get a quote that is much less than mine then my first guess would be that it was from a company who is either very new or very basic in regard to the equipment they are using and the experience they have.
I definitely like to stay within the “High quality for low cost” bracket.
Generally within a 60km radius of Hobart I will travel. Travel to outside areas may atria a travel fee, which isn’t too excessive
